March Newsletter is here!

As you know, Arafmi began as an organisation that provides support to unpaid mental health carers. With the support of the Arafmi Board, the carer team continues to grow in size and this month we have welcomed Gillian K back on board to head up regional engagement. It's an exciting time for us and we can't wait to expand our supports further afield.

It is also time for us to conduct the carer support satisfaction survey which we have included in this newsletter. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to provide some feedback. We would very grateful and it's useful when we are planning for events and new services.

We're keen to ensure this newsletter is informative and useful for carers. If you have any suggestions or articles that you think other carers would like to know about, please email them to marketing@arafmi.com.au.

Have a great month everybody and I'll see you all in April's newsletter!

We're very excited to announce that Gillian K has joined the Carer Support Team as the  Regional Engagement Senior Coordinator.

Some of you may already know Gillian as she has worked with Arafmi before whilst doing her student placement at university.

We're looking forward to Gillian helping us spread the Arafmi word out in the regions. Welcome back Gillian!

It's that time again! Your opportunity to provide us feedback on how we can improve our supports and services. We collect this information to inform future planning for the Carer Support Team. The survey should only take between five to ten minutes. Thank you in advance for your help with this!

Our choice for April Book Club is Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan.

It is 1985 in a small Irish town. During the weeks leading up to Christmas, Bill Furlong, a coal merchant and family man faces into his busiest season. Early one morning, while delivering an order to the local convent, Bill makes a discovery which forces him to confront both his past and the complicit silences of a town controlled by the church.

Already an international bestseller, Small Things Like These is a deeply affecting story of hope, quiet heroism, and empathy from one of our most critically lauded and iconic writers.
