Product Update: MK-SML - Servo Manual Load Cartoner
AFA has updated its design of the MK-SML to make the manual load cartoner more compact and user-friendly. The system can incorporate a bar code scanner to ensure that the operator has loaded the correct cartons into the magazine. The system can also feature all-servo change over to reduce the change over time down to under 10 minutes. Furthermore, the design features Food Grade Servo motors coupled with anodized aluminum and stainless steel so the machine can run in a wet environment. The system comes standard with an Allen Bradley PanelView 700 HMI along with servo motors and drives.
Product Update: CE-ABI - Compact Auto-Bottom Carton Erector And Indexer
The CE-ABI has a new design that helps increase the speed of the carton former to 25 cartons per minute. The unique design of the gantry robot carton erector allows the system to erect the carton while simultaneously pushing the already erected carton onto a discharge conveyor. This design ensures a carton erecting speed of 25 cpm. The system also incorporates a very small footprint to integrate into your line seamlessly. Servo motors and drives on all major actuated components improve trouble-shooting capabilities and operation. The CE-ABI also utilizes an Allen Bradley PLC with PanelView 1000 HMI.
AFA retrofit on a semi-automatic cartoner to increase speed
AFA Systems can retrofit existing cartoners to add new sizes, improve change over time, and increase speed. For this application, AFA increased the loading area of a semi-automatic cartoner to increase the overall rate. This change allowed the end-user to improve its overall speed and thus increase capacity. Retrofits are an excellent way to enhance existing assets without having to purchase a whole new system.
