AS ISO 20252:2019 - SET FOR REVIEW BY GLOBAL COMMITTEE

The ISO 20252:2019 market, opinion and social research standard is a global standard that ensures that the research conducted worldwide and by different suppliers meets the same minimum standard of quality and national legal requirements. Certification delivers research organisations and clients with a risk mitigation strategy.

A committee of industry practitioners and quality assurance/compliance experts (the TC225 Committee) periodically reviews the ISO 20252 Standard to maintain its integrity, relevance and to keep abreast of industry and technology changes such as AI. The next review will take place in 2024.

With over 65% of our members certified to the AS ISO 20252:2019 Standard, ADIA is committed to participating in the review to ensure that the industry-regulated Standard remains fit for purpose, covering the highest research, data and privacy practices for our Australian member organisations.

In the lead-up to the review, ADIA’s Quality Consultant, Norine Cruse, will represent ADIA and its members as the global committee considers changes to data protection and convenes a task force of AI experts to assist with reviewing the Standard to ensure it remains current with all research methodologies and technologies.

ADIA will be sure to keep our members up-to-date with proposed changes over the coming year.
