Back by popular demand, we're delighted to announce the return of the GMCC Property & Construction Summit on 7th November. Bringing together industry leaders, sector influencers and the most important voices in the region - the Summit will feature workshops, panel discussions and key note speeches.

Chamber Members Shape Future GM Skills Strategy

Nearly 4,000 businesses across Greater Manchester have helped to shape course provision for post-16 learners, thanks to their participation in the GM Local Skills Improvement Plan. Data gathered through survey responses and one-to-one interviews about employers’ skills shortages and labour market issues has resulted in additional courses being implemented across construction, including: 

• The development of nine construction Level 1 micro courses, linked to retrofit pathways.
• The expansion of construction sector training, covering core trades, sustainability practices, Modern Methods of Construction and green technologies.
