Highlighted Resource

 

Data Analytics and Biostatistics (DAB) Core provides high-quality biostatistics and IT Data management services to Department of Medicine (DOM) faculty by leveraging existing services in the Rollins School of Public Health and the Information Technology Department. The DOM offers 10 hours at no charge for approved DOM investigators who do not have grant funding; however, the requestee is responsible for time exceeding 10 hours. Find out how to submit your request and how to write DAB Core services into future grants!

Would you like an experienced grant writer to help provide guidance for your grant? The Georgia CTSA Grant Wise service offers the opportunity for one-on-one feedback from experienced senior faculty on grant writing. Receive support with developing a timeline, reviewing specific aims, writing/editing the text, and responding to reviewers. Grant Wise is available to faculty of institutions within the Georgia CTSA - Emory, Georgia Tech, MSM, & UGA.

Jessica Williams (Rheumatology) received funding from Lupus Research Alliance for a project entitled, “Diversity in Lupus Research Career Development Award: Lupus in rural Georgia: Investigating research barriers and environmental risk factors.”

Arshed Quyyumi (Cardiology) received funding from Cardiosense Inc. for a project entitled, “Non-invasive SEISMocardiogram In Cardiovascular monitoring for Heart Failure I (SEISMIC-HF I).”

Camille Vaughan (PI), Jorge Isaac Pena Garcia, and Fariha Sultan (Co-Is) (Geriatrics) received funding from the American Geriatrics Society, Inc. for a project entitled, “Improving adult immunization rates for COVID-19, influenza and routine adult vaccinations through partnerships with medical subspecialty professionals.”

William Bender (Pulmonary) received funding from Spectral Medical Inc. for a project entitled, “A prospective, multicenter, randomized, open-label study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PMX cartridge in addition to standard medical care for patients with endotoxemic septic shock: TIGRIS TRIAL.”
