Workforce Governance: Understanding harm prevention and reportingThe Workforce Governance and Registration Scheme Project is a sector-wide piece of work with the objective of supporting, safeguarding and regulating the workforce to allow everyone taking part in sport and physical activity to enjoy safe and high-quality experiences, and to be supported in achieving their goals in a positive environment. Sport England and UK Sport are working in partnership with CIMSPA and the National Governing Bodies of Sport to pilot a national workforce registration scheme for coaches. To gather input, CIMSPA have created a brief, anonymised survey specifically addressing the topic of ‘harm prevention and reporting’. The survey aims to expand our understanding of the policies that currently exist in relation to harm prevention and reporting in a sports coaching setting for those coaching outside of the National Governing Body ecosystem. The deadline for completing the survey is the 30th November 2024. Do you have a colleague who is interested in subscribing to this bulletin? Please direct them to our Physical Activity News webpage.
