The Office of the Children’s Guardian is reviewing the laws behind the Working with Children Check (WWCC). This is your opportunity to have a say on how the system works to protect children and young people in NSW. A discussion paper and resources are available on the NSW Have Your Say website, with consultation open until February 2026. Easy-read formats are available. We encourage all stakeholders to read the paper and share your feedback via the survey or a submission. Christmas and new year shut down period The Office of the Children's Guardian will be closed during the NSW Government shutdown period. We will close 4pm Wednesday 24 December 2025 and reopen 9am Monday 12 January 2026.
