Promoting and protecting the data, insights and research industry

FIRST JUDGING ROUND NOW COMPLETE

RESEARCH GOT TALENT FINALISTS ANNOUNCED NEXT WEEK!

Now in its seventh year in Australia, Research Got Talent is a joint initiative by ADIA and Esomar that invites young industry professionals to apply research and insights to help local charities and NGOs address pressing social issues in a global context.

ADIA held the first judging round this morning, and we were again hugely impressed by the high calibre of the entries and projects selected. This year’s projects range across public health and wellbeing, environmental protection, accessibility, homelessness, workplace culture and data security - issues that touch communities right across Australia. While each project is grounded in a local challenge, the issues themselves are shared well beyond our shores, which is precisely what makes this initiative so powerful.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who makes this possible: the judging panel, our sponsors - both returning and new, without whom the competition could not run - and the ADIA and Esomar member organisation leaders who give their young talent the time, encouragement and confidence to take part.

The initiative gets stronger every year, with several new judges joining the panel, including former National and Global Research Got Talent winners who bring insight and perspective that only past winners can provide. Having past winners on the other side of the table says a great deal about how far the competition has come, and it also underscores its broader purpose: to help cultivate the next generation of research leaders, with former winners returning to guide those who follow.

What the Australian winner receives:

  • A complimentary one-day pass to the 2027 ADIA Leaders Forum
  • Free Esomar Congress registration + $4,000 in prize money
  • Publication in ESOMAR Research World & a Young Esomar Society membership

ADIA and Esomar wish all of our entrants the very best of luck.

Stay tuned - the Research Got Talent finalists will be announced next week.
