Two more days until the beginning of the mid-semester break!

Hopefully you're on top of assessments and lectures but if you need a couple of weeks to catch up, now's the time to take stock of where you are with your study, and what you need to do for the rest of the semester.

Why not spend 5 minutes creating a new healthy habit? Leading up to Health Week, the Wellbeing Hub has some helpful hints on their website, and it's worth checking out.

Read on for more info about Health Week, plus heaps of opportunities (like studying overseas, or your chance to win $500 with cup noodles), and have an excellent start to the break!

$10 Popping Dance Workshop for beginners

Usher in the mid semester break with a street dance workshop! The Funk & Disco Dance Club is organising a pop-up class for absolute beginners in popping dance. Find out more and register here.

Is there space for recreational reading on your semester break To Do list? Nab some intriguing true crime reading or crime fiction from our book display, or raid our selection of online books from the comfort of your own safe, cosy couch.

Compostable catering packs for student events
Free compostable catering packs are available to AUU-registered clubs for on-campus events. Packs are pre-packed for 30 attendees based on common catering needs with cups, serviettes, straws, trays, bowls and other items. Collect up to 2 packs per event from the AUU in Hub Central and Roseworthy College Hall.

The AUU's Experiential Village is in full swing on the Barr Smith Lawns, offering you the chance to explore new tastes, sports and immersive activities. Join the final day tomorrow, or register for a new experience on Eventbrite.

 
 

Health Week is coming to you!
26-29 April, various locations
You asked, we listened. Health Week is coming to you! Find your own healthy habits with  The Health & Wellbeing team will be popping up with free food & good conversation in different locations across the University. Stay tuned for locations.

Study support during mid-semester break

The Maths Learning Centre will be available to drop in both face-to-face and online in the second week of the mid-semester break. Opening hours 12noon to 3:30pm Tuesday 19 April, Thursday 21 April and Friday 22 April. Regular hours resume Tuesday 26 April and continue to the end of the exams.

The Writing Centre will be closed on the first week of the mid-semester break (11-15 April), resuming regular opening hours from 19 April onwards after the Easter public holidays.

Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) will be available for some courses during the mid-semester break. Check the revision session timetable from week 6 and check your MyUni announcements for more information.

Studiosity provides online assistance from 2pm to midnight on weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Access Studiosity through Assignment Help in your MyUni courses.

 

Careers & Employment

Career Services and Student Employment support are free for all students.

  • For casual work while you study check out the Student Employment site from the AUU.
  • Gain internships and work experience by searching CareerHub
  • Find Graduate Jobs (apply before you graduate) with Career Services
  • Search for work at the University

The Careers team also run employer events and workshops to increase your employability, build your resume and LinkedIn profile, improve interview skills, grow your career and more.
