Our guest speaker, Loren Collyer, is a proud Bandjin Woman, a lawyer and teacher, who is passionate about advancing Aboriginal people through social justice and education. Loren has worked for Binaal Billa Aboriginal Family Violence Legal Service, the Crown Solicitors Office NSW, and is a member of the Board of Ngalaya for the NSW Aboriginal Lawyers’ Association. Privileged to work for The Wollotuka Institute at the University of Newcastle, Loren currently works for the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Leadership at the University of Newcastle.

Kcasey is an early career researcher and social commentator who probes the notion of gendered difference in Australian law. Kcasey crafted her PhD thesis, critically interrogating the impact of gender within the High Court of Australia; and The Hon Justice Margaret Cleary, Family Court of Australia
