Medicaid Work Requirements Are Coming: Helping Organizations Prepare

This month, Healthix hosted a webinar series addressing the potential impact of Medicaid Work Requirements (MWRs), which may increase disenrollment, denied claims, and uncompensated care. 

Sessions held on March 3, and March 5 drew strong participation from healthcare leaders across the region. The webinars highlighted how Healthix helps organizations identify coverage gaps, strengthen eligibility checks using real-time HIE data, address registration and documentation issues, and anticipate financial risks related to coverage churn.

Introducing Self-Service for Authorized User Managers in the Healthix Clinical Portal

Authorized User Managers (AUMs) can now take advantage of a new self-service tab in the Healthix Clinical Portal—designed to streamline user management and increase flexibility.
With this improvement, AUMs can:

  • Add, reactivate, or deactivate users
  • Manage alert recipients for active programs

These updates can be completed anytime, 24/7 within the portal—enabling faster changes, reduced administrative delays, and greater control over user access and communications.

Immediate deactivation processing

  • Trainings sent within 24 hours (including after hours and weekends)
  • Real-time alert recipient updates

Did you know?

  • Clinical portal users are automatically deactivated after 90 days of inactivity.
  • A 7-day email reminder is sent prior to deactivation.
  • Active LITMOS training may extend the deactivation timeline.
  • Cross QE alerts from HealtheConnections are now labeled HECDCS (effective 2/19/26).

Healthix Launches the Maternal & Infant Health Equity Collaborative

On Maternal Health Awareness Day, Healthix launched the Maternal & Infant Health Equity Collaborative, a data-driven initiative addressing maternal health disparities in Staten Island, where pregnancy-associated death rates are among the highest in New York. The Collaborative unites providers, community organizations, researchers, and policymakers to use Healthix data to identify risks and support targeted interventions, informing future efforts across New York.

Welcoming New Participants to the Healthix Network

Healthix continues to expand its network of participants across the region. From December through February, 56 organizations joined Healthix, selecting us through new Statewide Common Participation Agreement (SCPA) account registrations. Visit our full list of participants.

Upcoming Event: SIPPS 6th Annual Healthcare Summit 

The Staten Island Performing Provider System (SIPPS) will host its 6th Annual Healthcare Summit on April 21, 2026 (1–4 PM), bringing together healthcare leaders, community organizations, and policymakers across Staten Island.

This year’s summit will focus on maternal health, highlighting emerging trends, programs, and social care strategies to improve outcomes. Healthix is proud to sponsor this important community event.

Seeds in the Middle – Community Action Event

Healthix partnered with Seeds in the Middle, to host a heart-healthy baby shower for mothers in Central Brooklyn, launching a new community effort focused on maternal and infant health equity. Link

Healthix joined ViVE 2026, where CTO Inderpal Kohli spoke on AI and automation in healthcare workflows, sharing key challenges and strategies shaping digital health and interoperability.
