Monthly Newsletter ISSUE NO 2 | FEBRUARY 2020 Welcome to our February Newsletter! The months are rolling pretty quickly as we get ready to welcome you back. This month we present highlights of the extensive work our teams at Tyddyn Isaf have been carrying out to ensure that the site is continuously improving its facilities and landscapes in preparation for your visit. We also have a few fun facts that can put the work carried out into perspective. Please have a little patience when opening some of the links - we underestimated the file sizes, but will rectify this for future months! We also have our first "Photo of the Month' kindly provided by one of our seasonal tourers Gerry Barlow. We are looking forward to seeing many more, so don't forgot to tag us in your picture posts. Our feature of the month is 'Welcome to the Year of the Outdoors". It is Visit Wales 2020 campaign with Anglesey being one of its five designated 'Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Discover new corners of Anglesey by throwing open the doors and letting the outside in and seeing what Tyddyn Isaf can offer you in creating a truly memorable experience for everyone. We hope to inspire you with a host of advice and information. Explore our exciting newsletter by scrolling down and clicking on links provided below. Photo of the Month
Congratulations to Gerry Barlow who has been selected as our "Photo of the Month". Gerry has a seasonal touring caravan with us and took this remarkable photo from his pitch last summer. Are you a keen (amateur or professional) photographer who loves to capture moving scenes and magical memories that unravel before your eyes during your stay on the beautiful island of Anglesey? We would love you to share these moments with us and our readers by tagging us on Instagram: @tyddynisaf or #tyddynisaf At the end of each month we will select our favourite photograph that we believe captures the best scene or moment, and you too could have your image featured as our "Photo of the Month" Inside Tyddyn Isaf Our guests often have the impression that the winter months are our downtime, when they are in fact possibly the busiest time of year for us. These are the months when we must knuckle down and do as much as we can possibly can in a relatively short space of time whilst battling against adverse weather conditions, in order to have the park looking fantastic by march! This year is no exception. Click below to read Februarys edition of “Inside Tyddyn Isaf” to find out what we’ve been up to. Fun Facts & Figures
Anglesey's Beautiful Beaches
Llanddwyn Island (Ynys Llanddwyn) is a magical place. Located at the far end of a pleasant beach near Newborough. The name Llanddwyn means "The church of St. Dwynwen". St Dwynwen is the Welsh patron saint of lovers, making her the Welsh equivalent of St. Valentine. Her feast day, 25 January, is often celebrated by the Welsh with cards and flowers, just as the 14th February is celebrated for St. Valentine. You can find out more about the history on www.anglesey-history.co.uk. Click below for further information about the beach itself and what it has to offer you.
