Below you will find a selection of highlights following the campaign’s relaunch in July last year, after the general election. Campaign update£87.5 million dormant asset funding In November 2024, the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) announced an equal share of funding for the four named dormant asset causes over 2024-2028. The Community Wealth Fund will receive £87.5 million from the Dormant Assets Scheme over the next four years, alongside funding for youth, financial inclusion and social investment wholesalers. Further details will be published in a Dormant Assets Strategy in due course. National Lottery Community Fund announcement The National Lottery Community Fund has announced it will be contributing £87.5 million to the Community Wealth Fund, matching funds allocated from England’s Dormant Assets Scheme over 2024-2028 to take the total funding amount to £175 million. Reaching this milestone demonstrates the wide-ranging support the campaign has across a range of sectors. You can find out more about the history of the campaign by visiting our timeline. ![]() End-of-year receptionIn December 2024, we held an end-of-year parliamentary reception to celebrate the campaign's continued progress. The event was hosted by Noah Law, MP for St Austell and Newquay. It was a pleasure to be joined on the day by a wide range of parliamentarians, members of the Community Wealth Fund Alliance, representatives from Big Local areas, and colleagues from across the voluntary and community sector.
