After feedback from our community, we have engaged a leader in catchment and river analysis and advice to investigate the constraints and opportunities of Bungambrawatha Creek.
The consultants have provided a report which identifies ways to improve the function of the system while enhancing the biodiversity values and activation along the creek.
They also assessed channelised concrete sections within the catchment to understand the feasibility of naturalisation, taking into consideration biodiversity outcomes, cost, as well as potential impacts to the function of any treatments within the channel.
You are now invited to provide your feedback before Monday 7 August.

This exciting project will create multi-purpose playing fields across a four hectare area, equipped with lighting for night-time play. This means we’ll have a full-size senior oval for AFL, four senior-size soccer fields, and a synthetic wicket for the cricketers. Additionally, perimeter fencing will be installed for added safety.

By making the most of our resources and reusing them for other purposes, we'll end up with less waste and carbon emissions, protecting our environment and community. Our Albury Waste Management Centre diverts 53% of waste from landfill, but we want to hit 80% by 2030! Our Waste Management Strategy contains 54 actions to help us get there.
