Agenda ǀ Questions
130 abstracts submitted for 2022 DOM Research Day
130 abstracts were submitted for the 15th annual Emory Department of Medicine Research Day taking place on Thursday, October 27 from 7:45 a.m.–5 p.m. The department is thrilled to have received abstracts from each of our ten divisions, spanning the entire academic spectrum from undergraduates to full professors.
Core Facilities Letter of Support Request Form - Now Available
Many funding agencies require additional information about the involvement of Emory Core Facilities in research proposals. Based on feedback from Core directors, a new tool has been designed to help Core directors and researchers with their collaborations on new grants. The Cores letter of support request form adds an online option to the SOM intranet to help identify and track requests for these letters. Access the Cores letter of support request form.
Call for nominations: International Awards
Submission deadline: September 30
We encourage you to submit nominations for the International Awards presented each year by the Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives (GSI). These prestigious awards honor the achievements of a faculty member, an international alumnus/a, and a staff member. They also recognize the extraordinary work that enriches Emory University’s global impact. Submit a nomination
Export controls in research and academic settings
Do you know what happens if you violate export controls? The ordinary meaning of the term export, where a physical item is transferred to a foreign location is well understood. Export regulations, however, apply equally to intangible property such as information and technology, and are critical to understand before you travel to another country. This webinar explains how to stay out of trouble with the new export regulations. Presented by Rose Ndegwa, Director of Export Control Office, Emory University.
DOM RAS is requesting the following timelines for pre-award requests to the Pre-Award Inbox: - Proposals, progress reports, other support requests: at least two weeks prior to sponsor deadline. Requests made earlier than two weeks are always appreciated.
- Proposals with subrecipients and/or cost share: at least one month prior to due date.
- Finalized files: at least five business days prior to the sponsor deadline.
