Hey Traveller,
|
Well, it’s been a whole year since I first started this personal monthly newsletter to you, and since I decided to branch off from the brick-and-mortar agency model. A lot has happened in those 12 months, and I have taken several different approaches to writing this newsletter.
First of all, I want to thank you for sticking with me as I tried to stay connected through these monthly updates, and I hope that you have found them useful and engaging. It has certainly been a big learning experience for me, figuring out the technology; getting my head around the mailout regulations; trying to develop the copywriting skills needed; understanding the various ways to present content; and trying to keep subject matters relevant.
For me, the purpose of sending a message to you every month is to provide useful updates, stay in touch, share some interesting information or fun facts, and to remind you that I’m here to help you craft, plan, arrange, and undertake your next trip to “Witness the Wonders of Our World”.

So far, I’ve mostly been trying out different things and talking about whatever I took a fancy to. This has included everything from packing and travel tips, stories about my childhood, current deals available, borderline conspiracy theories, travel styles and preferences; and some of my own travel dreams. All have been travel related, but not particularly consistent, and not consistently presented.
Therefore, before I ask you to take time out of your day every month to read them, and invest a lot of my time to write them, I’d like to make sure that the content and style are both in line with what you want to be reading each and every time. To do this, I have prepared a short 10 question survey for you to complete so you can get the newsletter that you actually want.

Of course, this is for my personal ‘Witness WOW’ members-only newsletter that I send out myself, and I will continue to forward the occasional TravelManagers newsletter that tends to focus on current deals and special offers that you can book through me (some exclusive and some general) and that I think some members may be interested in.
Finally, I'd also like to thank you for all your support and understanding during these trying times. As your travel agent, part of my role is to manage your travel arrangements and to advocate for you and assist when things go awry; this often means being "stuck in the middle" and taking the brunt of travellers' frustrations toward a supplier or situation, despite doing my best to mitigate or resolve any issues. However, you have shown great understanding and appreciation for my efforts, so I want you to know that I recognise and very much appreciate this from you and all my most valued customers, and I will continue to be encouraged to provide the best assistance I can for as long as I remain your travel agent. Once again, thank you!
It is said that a picture paints a thousand words... So, I would say that a video clip shows a thousand pictures? But neither words nor pictures, nor even a thousand videos, will ever come close to the first-hand experience of being there 'in person' to Witness the Wonders of Our World - while we still can, and 'because we still can!'
Have a wonderful day,
Best regards
