ALL COFFS COAST BUSINESSES are invited to share these news stories in their business marketing. This is a great way to bring people from out of the area to your business - and the content is already created for you. Work begins on Dorrigo Great Escarpment WalkThe Coffs Coast is set for major tourism boost as construction is officially underway on the $56.4 million Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk. The project will position Dorrigo and the World Heritage-listed Dorrigo National Park as a major nature tourism destination. The redeveloped Dorrigo Rainforest Centre is projected to attract 200,000 visitors to the region each year, and importantly, it will create around 270 new jobs on the Mid North Coast. 🚨And hot off the press, the City of Coffs Harbour will host the 2027 Local Government NSW Destination and Visitor Economy Conference, bringing together Council representatives and industry leaders from across the state to explore the critical role of tourism in driving economic growth, supporting local jobs, and strengthening community resilience. EOI Local Businesses and Suppliers Urunga CBD Upgrade Bellingen Shire Council is currently seeking expressions of interest from local businesses, suppliers, trades, artists, service providers and community groups who may be able to contribute to the Urunga CBD Upgrade. The project is still in the design stage, and Bellingen Shire Council is looking to understand what skills, products and services are available locally and across the Mid North Coast. This is not a request for full design concepts or detailed proposals at this stage — it is about registering interest so local capability can be considered as the project progresses. GRANT FUNDING & BUSINESS SUPPORTCOFFS HARBOUR GRANT FINDERThe City of Coffs Harbour provides a free service for locals to find grants and grant writing tips. Register to be notified of specific grants for your business or organisation. The Cheaper Home Batteries Program is now available to help more people install batteries. Australian households, businesses and community organisations can get a discount of around 30% on the upfront cost of installing a range of small-scale battery systems (5 kWh to 100 kWh).
