  2. From the SFO BART station, easily transfer to the AirTrain for a quick ride to any terminal.
  3. BART will take you directly into downtown San Francisco, the Peninsula and East Bay! Explore all the Bay Area has to offer and use the BART Trip Planner when planning your trip to and from SFO.
  4. BART is easy to use - pay fares by loading Clipper to your wallet on your mobile device.
  5. BART is the sustainable choice. Hop aboard to help reduce carbon emissions, air pollution (which results in clearer skies) and congestion on roads. Plus, skip traffic when you take BART to fly SFO!

This October, visit Compass Books in Terminal 3 for spooky season greeting cards, seasonal magazines, and books. Check out a display of Compass Books’ favorite horror picks, tarot cards, and not-so-scary stories for little ones.

Seeking Volunteers to join our Travelers Information Volunteers Program

Join our Travelers Information Volunteers Program! We’re actively recruiting volunteers to staff our Travelers Information booths at Departure Levels. As a volunteer, you’ll meet people from around the world, assist guests with questions, and connect with the Airport community. SFO asks volunteers to work a minimum of one four-hour shift per week and make a commitment for at least one year. Email Carol Heavner at carol.heavner@polarisus.com to apply or for questions.

Lounge Openings and Updates

  • Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge: Located in Terminal 2, Air Canada's new SFO lounge is the airline’s first to feature an outdoor terrace.
  • Air France Lounge: Air France's fully renovated lounge—featuring a new design and expanded amenities—is now open in the International Terminal A Gates.
  • Cathay Pacific Lounge: Re-opened in August, eligible passengers can once again enjoy Cathay Pacific's lounge in the International Terminal A Gates.
