Message from Mayor Kevin Mack

Our new Regional Skate Park in David Street will open to riders, skaters and players very soon, with an official opening planned for next month. I can't wait to see it in action!

From our CEO, Frank Zaknich

The recent opening of the south-facing Hume Freeway ramps at Davey Road provided a turning point in our vision to create a 24/7 economic powerhouse that will help to fuel our city's growth for generations to come.

Friends get growing to bring life from our gardens to yours

After a long COVID-19 layoff, the Friends of the Botanic Gardens are back in action, propogating hundreds of plants from our famous gardens to sell to the community. If you'd like to brighten your garden with the fruits of the Friends' labours, you can visit them on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, or buy plants from a market stall at the next Music in the Gardens event.

Lucky Dina lands on her feet - now she needs a home

Dina the five-week-old tortoiseshell had a rough start to life. Found abandoned as a new-born with her litter, her outlook was not bright. Sadly, Dina's siblings didn't make it but the team at the Albury Animal Care Centre stepped in to hand-feed Dina until she could be weaned. Now, she's healthy, affectionate and playful - and she's up for adoption. If you'd like to make Dina part of your family, she'll be available next week.
