CLAS Summer Institute

California LAW Pathways recently hosted the California Law Academy Support (CLAS) Summer Institute for faculty, staff, and advisory board members of high school California Law Pathways academy programs. The two-day event was hosted by the  University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento June 23-24, 2023. Thank you to our sponsors who included McGeorge School of Law; Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo; and Davis Smith.

The program featured two days of academic and industry experts who shared their expertise and knowledge in such areas as best practices, team management, imposter syndrome, teaching current supreme court cases, and a mock trial demonstration and discussion. Kennedy Center program participants joined us for Day 1 presentations. Check out the Cal LAW Pathways website for resources and more information on the program.

Next year's event is slated for June 20-21, 2024. We will be revamping the 2024 event and invite our high school partners to help in the planning process to update and redesign CLAS to make it even more valuable.
