SHRS Health Professions Experience (HPS)

The SHRS Health Professions Experience (HPE) resource allows students to explore opportunities for gaining exposure (through shadow, volunteer or work experience) to a variety of health professions. The site was designed to be nimble and use crowdsourced information to build a robust database that includes hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, community health centers, schools and other facilities that provide health care and related experiences.

Students who plan to apply to our SHRS graduate programs may require observational hours and this resource lists the specific requirements for each of our graduate programs.  This resource would also serve as a guide for students exploring different careers in health care.

Pitt2Pitt Scholarship for Pitt graduate education

I am reaching out to you about the Pitt2Pitt Scholarship that provides up to a $7,500 tuition scholarship per year when any Pitt graduating senior or alumni enrolls in one of 85+ participating Pitt graduate or professional degree programs. We would like you to share this good news with the students that you advise!

If your students have additional questions about the academic programs and scholarship guidelines, they can reach out directly to the academic program (the list of academic programs is at the bottom of the website, Pitt2Pitt Scholarship). Each graduate program will provide a minimum of two terms of scholarships: $2,500 per term for full-time students and $1,250 per term for part-time students. Many programs offer scholarships beyond the two-term minimum.

To support undergraduate students in their decision-making process about graduate school we are offering two types of events.
