Paa Joe at The High, Atlanta, GA

February 29 – May 31, 2020

The High Museum of Art will present “Paa Joe: Gates of No Return”, an exhibition organised by the American Folk Art Museum featuring a series of seven large-scale, painted wood architectural sculptures representing Gold Coast fortresses, which served as way stations for millions of Africans sold into slavery and sent to the Americas and the Caribbean between the 16th and 19th centuries.

Outside In Call for Artists

Fabrica, Brighton

Outside In, the British charity supporting artists facing significant barriers to the art world due to health, disability, social circumstance or isolation, is calling for artists to submit works for the chance to be exhibited at Fabrica, Brighton, UK, in July 2020.

The theme of the exhibition "Look Closer, Think Bigger" is large and miniature artworks. Outside In artists are invited to submit works that fit into either of these two categories by April 13.

"Willem van Genk: WOEST", a large retrospective at the Outsider Art Museum, has been extended until May 3. The show will then travel to the Collection de l’Art Brut in Lausanne and the Hermitage in St Petersburg.
