Mayor Christine Kay

From the Mayor

One of the Council’s art initiatives is our urban murals program. This year’s theme is ‘Our creeks & waterways and the life within them’ and we’re looking for artists who can depict our beautiful waterways and the plants and animals that make them their home.

Commissioned murals will be installed at Roseville Chase and Bicentennial Park, West Pymble. Find out more and apply on our website.

I encourage the community to come along to our Sustainable Futures Day at Lindfield Village Green from 10am to 3pm Saturday 31 August. It’s a great day out featuring lots of advice and help on how to live sustainably and reduce your household bills.

Enjoy hands-on activities, great giveaways and chat with the experts on solar and batteries, EVs, composting and ways to recycle.

Thank you to everyone who has given their feedback on potential rate increase options for funding better local infrastructure. There’s still plenty of time to have your say, with consultation continuing until 31 August. For more information visit our website.

While you’re there, give us your feedback on the site of the former Gordon Bowling Club at 4 Pennant Avenue. We are developing a new masterplan and seeking the community’s help in designing a new public space.

There are a wide range of possibilities for this site, with the potential for it to be a great playground, community garden, event space, community centre or sports facility for future generations to enjoy. The first stage of consultation is open until 10 September.
