We understand how important the summer season is to the SuperControl community, and that’s why the development team has been busy enhancing two key channel integrations to set you up for booking success. Our monthly development update explores several improvements, including payment processor logs and ultra-HD photos. Let’s explore…” In April, we’ve been focused on improving our integration with Booking.com and Airbnb. These are major developments that we hope will make your connection smoother, more efficient and manageable. Save the date! It’s that time again. Next week, we’ll be reaching out to ask, “how are we doing?” Our customer feedback survey (also known as NPS) will be live for one week. If you’re delighted with how we’re supporting you or perhaps would like to see some adjustments, this is your chance to tell us what matters to you. Keep a close eye on your inbox and check that pesky junk folder. We’ll send you a reminder ahead of the survey going live; watch this space. Booking.com We’re in the final stages of testing, ready to release changes on a new Booking.com contracting API. What does this mean for you? Well, for those newly listing with the platform, signing contracts or linking with existing contracts will be possible all via the SuperControl interface. This development will allow you and our client care team to help you get listed on Booking.com much faster (plus, it’ll be much easier!). We’re also pleased to share that our prestigious preferred partner status with Booking.com has been renewed for 2022, yay! Airbnb Airbnb is updating all three of its APIs later this year. That means we need to carry out a large scale system update to implement these. This project will be our development team's primary focus in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition. Don’t worry; there are no changes required from you – it’s all developmental magic that happens behind the scenes! Update to our front-end grid view calendar When booking on your website, guests can now preview a short property description and photo. Guests can now also click the specific property name when on the calendar, which will direct them to that specific property page on your website. Click here to see what that looks like and how to upgrade your grid view calendar! Payment Processor Logs If you use a payment processor, you can now see payment logs for every card payment made within a booking. At the bottom of the customer payment tab, you will see a new link named online processor log. Due to stricter laws and 3D secure online regulations, we are naturally seeing higher payment declines. These new logs will help you diagnose why a payment failed, enabling you to resolve the issue quicker. Click here to check out our handy guide that includes explanations of error codes specific to the payment processor you use. Payment Pages Update We have now added secure booking and card logos to the bottom of our payment pages to power peace of mind for bookers. These will show depending on the card methods you accept and the payment processor you use. iCal Bookings You can no longer manually change the dates or property on an iCal calendar. iCal booking should remain with the dates and property it was initially created for. This is because of issues occurring when changes were made, therefore causing duplicate iCal bookings. If dates or properties need to change for an iCal booking, they must be amended via the original booking source. In turn, this will update iCal booking in SuperControl correctly. HD Photos Ultra-HD photos have now been added as an option to the property XML API. If you upload an ultra-HD photo, it will now be included in the API if you use SuperControl’s API for your website. The maximum size is now 3840px. |
