We Will Rock You 28 May — 6 June: Thames Civic Centre Using the iconic music of Queen as the backbone, this humorous musical looks into a future where the youth of the world and music itself are controlled by social media and AI technologies. Come along and enjoy a night of sing-along anthems and fun. You’ll be singing all the way home
Gin & Jazz: Whitianga13 June 2026 Step back in time for an evening of glamour, gin and live music as Billie & The Bootleggers bring their post-modern jukebox style to Monkey House Lounge & Cabaret.
Andy Dickson: Whitianga1 July 2026 Andy Dickson — frontman/guitarist with Kiwi legends The Narcs — will head 'across the ditch' from Brisbane in July to entertain North Island crowds with some of his favourite Australian and New Zealand songs, from bands he is influenced by or has a personal connection with.
Matariki: Whangamatā9—12 July 2026 We welcome you to celebrate Matariki in Whangamatā as we come together as a community to reflect, remember and connect. Whangamatā will host a weekend of activities featuring workshops at the Memorial Hall and a hāngī and concert at Williamson Park.
Pāuanui Fire Brigade Matariki10 July 2026: 5.30pm —7pm South end of Pāuanui Beach: come along and celebrate Matariki and support the local volunteer fire brigade.
Sonic Boom: Monkey House Theatre, Whitianga11 July 2026 New Zealand’s favourite party band, The Monroes, present Sonic Boom: A concert experience just for kids.
