Item 1: nKPI, OSR and HCP reporting round outcome

The 1 July to 15 August 2022 reporting round for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander National Key Performance Indicators (nKPI), Online Services Report (OSR), and Health Care Provider (HCP) number reports has been finalised.

All nKPI and HCP reports were submitted. There were 4 services that did not manage to finalise their OSR report by the closing date. This is an excellent overall result and the Health Data Portal (HDP) team acknowledge the great work of health services in completing these reporting requirements.

Item 2: Pilot for PI25: STI Tests

Thank you to all who submitted data for the piloting of PI25: STI Tests (Indigenous regular clients who tested for one or more sexually transmissible infections). Your data will be available in your Qlik dashboard soon.

Remember, data from the pilot will not be publicly reported. It will be analysed to assess the quality or if the indicator definition needs refinement.

Detailed information on this new indicator is available on the NPS MedicineWise website on page 44 in the updated Specifications for National Key Performance Indicators and Online Services Reporting.

Item 3: Performance Report closes 31 October 2022

The IAHP Primary Health Care Performance Report reporting round will close 31 October 2022.

Your health service is already using the HDP to report nKPI, OSR and HCP data. If you are not currently registered on the HDP you will need to create a myGovID account on your personal device and be set up in your organisation's Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) before registering for the HDP.

If you need assistance with the submission of your Performance Report through the HDP, training is still available. If you would like to receive training, please send an email request to indigenousreporting@health.gov.au.

Item 4: Qlik virtual workshop and Qlik usage survey

The HDP team will be conducting one or more virtual workshops sessions in October/November to discuss:

  • Ways in which you are currently using your Qlik reports
  • Any barriers which prevent you from using them or which make them less useful for you
  • Ideas for possible improvements to the existing Qlik reports
  • Ideas for new reports which you would find useful

If you are interested in participating, please send an email to indigenousreporting@health.gov.au.

In advance of the workshops, the HDP will be sending out a short survey (within the next two weeks) to gather some initial information about how you use your Qlik reports. We would greatly appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete the survey. Your responses, as well as the more detailed workshop discussion, will help us to improve the Qlik reports and make them more relevant to your needs.

Item 5: Access to the Health Data Portal

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) created a new authentication pathway for access to government services. The HDP uses their myGovID and RAM authentication pathway for access.

For both registering and logging on you must always use the Digital Identity and RAM option, as shown below:

Item 6: Training

Health services now use the HDP to submit nKPI, OSR, HCP and Performance Report data.

If you would like training on any aspect of reporting, please send an email to indigenousreporting@health.gov.au.

There is a User Support section in the HDP containing reference materials to assist with all aspects of reporting.
