Conversation with Admissions

We know that many extraordinary students and families come to Crofton House through word-of-mouth from our community. CHS families are invited to join Richard Cohee, Director, Enrolment Management & Admissions, and his team on Tuesday, November 5 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in the Heritage Dining Room of the Old Residence. The Admissions team will lead a discussion about the admissions process and financial assistance (for new students entering Grade 8), and parents will also have the opportunity to ask questions, so they can leave better informed about the admissions process and financial assistance. Register.

Become a Work Experience Program Employer Today!

The CHS community has always been an essential source of employers for our Work Experience Program. As we prepare for our first 2024-2025 placements coming up throughout the winter, we have more students interested in placements than spaces available. We need your support to connect Senior School students with opportunities in a vast array of fields and workplaces (be that your own or one in your network)! Fill out the Employer Interest Form to speak with a WEP team member about opportunities to support and mentor CHS students. Learn more.

Thriving in Possibility: Strategic Plan Updates

Year One Progress

The 2023-2024 school year was the first year of implementation for the strategic plan, Thriving in Possibility. The five strategies in the plan translated into action over the past year, and we are pleased to share our progress to date.

Year Two Objectives

As we move into the second year of our strategic plan, the Board of Governors has approved the Year Two Implementation Plan, which will guide our work in 2024-2025. This plan sets out initiatives for all five strategies: Foundational Well-Being, Embracing Diversity, Purposeful Learning, Meaningful Partnerships and Active Stewardship. These initiatives will continue to advance the strides made last year and further our commitments to Belonging, Agility and Responsibility

Co-curricular Updates Following Satisfaction Surveys

In 2023-2024, parents and guardians participated in the School’s annual Parent Satisfaction Survey and identified a decline in satisfaction surrounding co-curricular programs. In response to this feedback, both the Junior and Senior Schools asked students in Grades 5-12 to participate in a student survey, to better understand the students’ co-curricular experience and identify opportunities for enhancement.

View the Survey Results & Enhancement Plans for information on the steps underway to respond to families’ and students’ feedback, as well as the plan for reviewing and enhancing the co-curricular experience for students.

The Crofton House Winter Bazaar

The Winter Bazaar presales have launched! If you have not had an opportunity to browse the beautiful products, plants and wreaths, consider a portrait booking, or pre-purchase your entrance wristband and activity tickets, visit the Winter Bazaar Presales webpage. The rest of the Bazaar swag and fun will be revealed on the day of the Winter Bazaar, Saturday, November 30

All proceeds will support our incredible community partners, the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre and Women Leaders of Tomorrow. These organizations are dedicated to creating empowering environments for women and driving meaningful change. Through our reciprocal relationships, the CHS community can support the important work they are doing to positively impact the lives of women and girls locally and globally. In turn, the organizations provide important opportunities for purposeful student learning, focusing on issues facing women. We have two final opportunities coming up quickly to turn your donations into treasures on our donation collection days:

  • Monday, November 4 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
  • Monday, November 18 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
