What's New & Happening

The Wait is Over!

Whistler Blackcomb has officially launched the 2024/25 ski and ride season ahead of schedule! Blackcomb Mountain kicked off the season on November 21, with Whistler Mountain following on November 22. With several recent snowfalls (255 cm so far this season), conditions were spectacular for opening weekend. The mountains boast an impressive early-season base depth of 135 cm.

Passes & EDGE Cards Go Off Sale December ​​2, get your pass today and join us on the mountains. After this date lift tickets will be limited.

Exciting Updates at Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa

As of December 2024, Hilton Whistler has completed a full renovation of its public spaces, including the lobby, meeting areas, and restaurants. The Cinnamon Bear Bar and Grille has been reimagined into a refined yet casual lounge, offering locally inspired cuisine and vibrant après-ski vibes, open daily from 7 AM to midnight. Also new within the hotel is L’Après, a cozy café serving made-to-order meals, specialty hot chocolates, and Starbucks beverages from 6:30 AM to 8 PM—perfect for warming up after a day on the slopes. hilton.com

Whistler’s Path to Sustainability

Highlighting Whistler businesses that lead with sustainability, the Changemaker series focuses on respecting and protecting the town's distinct mountain culture. In the newest video, host Mike Douglas sits down with Alison Jenkins, Sustainability at Whistler Blackcomb, to explore the company’s innovative initiatives in food waste reduction, recycling bike tires, and its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2030.

Extremely Canadian offers a variety of winter programs, including 1 and 2-day Steeps Clinics, Snowboard Freeride Camps, and private Steeps Clinics throughout the season. Backcountry enthusiasts can enjoy Intro to Backcountry Group sessions and private tours, along with Avalanche Skills Training (AST 1+ and AST 2) on weekends and select weekdays. The popular Inbounds and Backcountry We Rise events also return for their fifth year, providing all-ladies ski/ride days with expert coaching and backcountry tours. The Backcountry We Rise experience offers a full day of riding with top ACMG guides, lift line priority, and discounted lift pass packages.
