Ilam wastewater upgrade underwayMonday 16 September 2024 We are improving wastewater infrastructure along Clyde, Creyke and Maidstone Roads to help meet increasing wastewater demands generated by our growing city. This work is expected to be complete by mid-2026. Work is underwayOnsite trenching works have begun on Clyde and Creyke roads this week, as we prepare to install new, bigger pipes in the area. Minor site and preparation works have been underway since late August for these Stage One works, with machinery and traffic management now all in place and trenching work having started. We appreciate the co-operation of motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, whose usual travel routes may have been interrupted by the works. Traffic impactsTraffic is flowing north one-way on Clyde Road and west one-way from the west end of Creyke Road. A 30km/h speed limit is in place, as well as detours for affected traffic. Please follow the signage and keep an eye out for changes in traffic management. Get in touch and stay updatedRegular e-newsletters like this one will be sent out throughout the project.
