Get to know PhD Student Lauren Newman Lauren received outstanding results for her thesis titled, "EVolving the Liquid Biopsy: Extracellular Vesicles for Assessing Liver Function and Disease" Get to know PhD Student D-Yin (Indy) Lin Indy received outstanding results for her thesis titled, "Improving Perioperative Care and Patient Outcomes in Orthopaedic Surgery of the Lower Limb". Celebrating Success - Dee Trewartha Science and Engineering PhD student Dee Trewartha was recently awarded the prize for the Best Student Conservation Talk at the recent World Congress for Herpetology (WCH) in Kuching, Malaysia. This has been developed by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Department of Health and Aged Care to help make health and medical research more inclusive by improving knowledge of research gaps related to historical underrepresentation of sex, gender, variations of sex characteristics and sexual orientation. HDR Supervision: Giving Effective FeedbackWednesday 25 September 2.00-4.00pm Many graduate students cite getting and dealing with feedback from their supervisors as one of the most frustrating areas of candidature. Feedback is essential to help the student make progress and improve the quality of their outputs. So, what can you, as a supervisor, do to ensure they get the feedback they need?
