Research Integrity

Reminder: Public Health Service (PHS) funded investigators have continuous COI reporting obligations
A reminder to the PHS Investigator community that if they acquire or receive a new Significant Financial Interest (SFI) during the year, they must report the new SFI on Brown's electronic COI form within 30 days. See the COI FAQS web page for details.

NIH/NSF Responsible Conduct of Research Training
BEARCORE, the ORI RCR course, meets the current NIH and NSF requirements. Express interest using this Google form.

Planning international collaborations or fieldwork?
Work with the Export Control Team in advance if you plan to travel with or send research equipment, samples or other materials to international destinations. Government licenses may be required.

Research Seed Funding awards help faculty advance competitive research proposals. Investigators may propose single PI projects up to $50,000 or multi-PI projects supporting a new collaboration between two or more disciplines up to $100,000.

Salomon awards support excellence in scholarly work by providing up to $15,000 for selected faculty research projects of exceptional merit.

Reminder: New NIH Requirements for Foreign Subrecipients Research Documents
NIH published new requirements for foreign subrecipients to provide copies of all documentation that supports the research outcomes with each scientific update. This requirement applies to new/renewed foreign subawards issued after Oct. 1, 2023.

FastLane decommissioning nearly complete
Friday, Sept. 29 is the last day to submit proposal file updates and budget revisions in FastLane, access or withdraw FastLane submitted proposals, and withdraw supplemental funding requests submitted in FastLane.
