Special Olympics BC youth programs are currently running in 17 communities across the province! With the help of dedicated youth program leaders like Aalia, participants ages two to 11 learn vital motor, sport, and social skills in an inclusive and fun environment!

“There is truly nothing more rewarding than bearing witness to children overcoming challenges they didn’t think they could."

-SOBC – Prince George youth program leader Aalia Suran

We are so grateful to all the volunteers and youth program leaders who provide life-changing opportunities for children with intellectual disabilities. Click here to read inspiring youth program stories in communities across the province!

Monthly donors can double their impact this May!

SOBC athlete Daniel Thomas and Michael Campbell at 2023 SOBC Classic golf tournament

Thanks to the generosity of an amazing supporter, donors can join our monthly giving program in May – and have their contributions matched up to $25,000.

The incredible matching donation comes from Michael Campbell, Special Olympics BC Board Secretary and host of MoneyTalks.

“It’s not often we can change people’s lives, bring such joy, and help create friendships where none existed before. But that’s exactly what happens with Special Olympics,” Campbell says.

Funds raised will help thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities find empowerment and belonging in the Special Olympics programs that mean the world to them.

We appreciate your help in spreading the word about this campaign!
