The Burnaby Wildcats curling team took home SO Team BC's last medal, winning gold in a thrilling victory on Saturday! Athletes then celebrated their podium finishes, personal bests, and inspiring achievements at the awards ceremony that took place at Calgary City Hall. It was such an inspiring moment for all provinces to come together and celebrate the power of sport and inclusion. To cap off the National Games, SO Team BC 2024 celebrated all their successes and lifelong memories at the Closing Ceremony, dancing the night away! 🤠💃 Behind each hardworking Special Olympics athlete are dedicated volunteers providing expert guidance and heartfelt encouragement. Without the committed and talented coaches, mission staff, and other volunteers who give their time and energy to athletes, SO Team BC would not be where it is today.
