After a fun and heartwarming Opening Ceremony to kick off the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games Calgary 2024 in style, athletes are pumped up and ready to give it their all!

Yorke Parkin, a hardworking alpine skier from Revelstoke, had the honour of being the flagbearer for SO Team BC! Yorke proudly led his teammates into Tuesday's Opening Ceremony.

Day 1 Highlights

Curlers kicked off competition for SO Team BC on day 1 of National Games, while other athletes dove headfirst into their sport practices and prepare for competitions ahead!

After a day of training and competition, athletes were excited to get pumped up and let loose at the SO Team BC pep rally!
