Info Night series

On-campus and off-campus: March – April 2026

Explore your future at the University of Sydney by joining one of our Info Nights, with dates available at venues in Western and Southwest Sydney, the Central Coast, and on campus.

The events include two concurrent sessions tailored to students in Year 10 or Years 11–12.  The Year 10 session is interactive, helping students link strengths and interests to potential courses and offering clear guidance on subject selection. It also provides a high-level overview of admissions, entry schemes, pathways, fees, scholarships and support services, which are explored in greater depth during the Year 11–12 session. You'll also have the opportunity to chat with current University of Sydney students and alumni from various study areas and get advice on shaping your own study journey. The on-campus event will feature guided tours of the University.

Dates and locations are available below:
Penrith Info Night | 11 March
Central Coast Info Night | 12 March
Parramatta Info Night | 25 March

Key changes to entry requirements

We constantly review our admissions, pathways and entry schemes to ensure they are as accessible and effective as possible. Following a recent review, we will be implementing the following changes for future intakes. These will be reflected on our website soon.

Indicative entry

All undergraduate courses will now list an indicative selection rank. Indicative selection ranks are a guide based on the previous year's lowest selection rank admitted. The actual selection rank required to receive an offer for a future intake will depend on course demand and the availability of places.

We no longer have guaranteed selection ranks for our courses.

Combining adjustment factors across entry schemes

Students can no longer stack adjustment factors across schemes. Students can still apply and/or be considered for multiple schemes, and the scheme that awards the most adjustment factors will be applied.

Bachelor of Advanced Studies

The Bachelor of Advanced Studies will not be offered to commencing students from 2027.

Students wanting to study two fields may wish to consider one of our many combined degrees such as the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts, or the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts.  Students can also still complete a major or minor from the shared pool of majors and minors if their degree grants access to the shared pool. Students who would like to complete an honours degree can still do so by applying for an appended honours year in the final year of their stand-alone degree.

This change does not affect Semester 2, 2026 admissions or current students (students who have already commenced their studies).
