Visitors to the area will notice the new waterfront artwork. The 250m long pedestrian walkway has been painted with a blue and yellow artwork developed by Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke Rāpaki.

Seats, planters and fishing pole holders have also been installed in the area.

Stage 2 carpark work complete
Just in time for summer, the second stage of carpark improvements has been completed, increasing the available parking area of the site and improving access to the public boat ramp. Vehicles will now be able to circulate more freely. The windsurf area has also been improved and a new washdown pad installed.

The works have also had a positive impact on water filtration and the water quality in Whakaraupō Harbour.
