Dr. Yuka Kobayashi created the DEI Committee in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The mission of the MCW Orthopaedic Surgery DEI Committee, made up of faculty, staff, and administrators, is to ensure that individuals are given equitable opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our community members and ensure fair and respectful treatment of all. The DEI committee works to empower diverse individuals from all backgrounds regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, social class, physical ability, age, and religious or political beliefs.

Thomas Flatley Obituary - Born to Eternal Life on January 18, 2024, at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Neva. Beloved father of Eileen (Bruce) Olson, Margaret (Robert) Foley, Thomas (Mary), Kathleen (Christopher) Joyce, Patrick (Christine), James (Julie), Mary Ann, Michael (Michael Bond), John (Jan) and Terrance (Ann). Proud grandfather of 40 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. He will further be remembered by his sister Mary Kay (the late Mike) Reidy and
sister-in-law Margaret (the late John) Murphy. He was preceded in death by two infant grandsons.
