Outgoing Subawards When a DOS PI identifies a potential subrecipient institution outside MCW to participate in a research project, we refer to that as an “outgoing subaward”. Outgoing subawards are reviewed by GCO as part of the main application in eBridge. Subrecipient institutions need to provide the following items for an outgoing subaward: - Statement of Work (SOW)
- Detailed Budget
- Budget Justification
- Letter of Intent
- Biosketches for Senior/Key personnel
- Letter of Support
- Facilities and Other Resources
- Equipment, if applicable
GCO will review the main application from the PI as well as the outgoing subaward all at the same time. When approved, all application documents can be submitted to the sponsor. Any questions? Contact Lynn Cummings, Grants Operations Coordinator
Clinical Research Tip of the Month
OnCore Financials is LIVE Effective July 10 We are excited to announce that OnCore Financials is LIVE effective July 10! Thank you to the identified trainees and pilot builders in the department for their dedication to this important initiative. F&MCW has committed to the implementation of OnCore Financials to standardize workflows and enhance the way clinical research is conducted across the organization. The MCW Office of Research (MCW OOR) is now requiring use of OnCore for all new studies that involve Froedtert Health Charges and/or MCW Professional Charges requiring Epic billing. For all other new studies, protocol entry into OnCore
is strongly recommended per the OnCore protocol decision tree. Please refer to the OnCore Financials Toolbox for a multitude of resources to guide you through this new workflow. To facilitate Financials implementation, MCW OOR is defining “New” protocols as those that have not yet initiated any pricing/budget components as of 7/10/23. Studies
that have not initiated these activities are required to follow the new process via OnCore. Full guidance on how to manage studies at different phases of the start-up process can be found here. Please contact Krissa Packard at kpackard@mcw.edu with any questions regarding use of OnCore.
