Greetings, all! I can’t believe the year is already halfway through! It seems like so much has happened. At QA Cafe it was no exception. We focused on our collaboration with RDK and prpl, announced our sponsorship of SharkFest, launched our definitive test automation whitepaper, and more! Here are a few updates on what happened in Q2. Building an automated test strategy - the definitive guideWe were very pleased to share our definitive guide on building an automated testing strategy, collecting years of experience from QA Cafe and our customers. This guide contains everything you need to develop an overall test automation strategy for your product development lifecycle, including an overview of the types of testing, how to incorporate each into your overall strategy, and how automated testing applies differently at all stages of development across your supply chain. QA Cafe and RDK collaborationQA Cafe is a proud RDK member, and even more proud to say that CDRouter is used by the RDK development team. Our CTO Tim Winters sat down with the RDK Innovation Spotlight team for a great overview of our work. The RDK central team and QA Cafe also gave an in-depth webinar on using CDRouter for RDK testing, available to RDK preferred members here. QA Cafe Sponsors SharkFest'22 US with Expert Speaker and Community PCAP ChallengeQA Cafe is proud to be sponsoring SharkFest’22 US! SharkFest brings together some of the most well-known experts in network security, troubleshooting, and packet capture analysis in one place to offer classes, discussions, and collaboration opportunities for everyone involved. We’re developing this year’s esPCAPe group challenge competition - a contest that commits SharkFest attendees to the task of finding obscure clues embedded in a network packet trace. It lets participants flex their knowledge of pcaps and their investigation skills, and above all, it’s fun! Registration is open now! If you are curious about what SharkFest is like, you can catch their SharkFest Retrospective series of past events here. prpl Foundation opens Certification Working Group to promote quality prplWare implementationsOur work with the open-source gateway community expanded even further with the creation of the Certification Working Group at prpl Foundation. The group is spearheaded by our CTO Tim Winters (the working group chair), which will leverage CDRouter and open-source automation tools together to enable self-testing as a key element of prplWare certification. The initial testing and certification program targets include:
prpl Foundation members are encouraged to join the working group and provide their input! Hosted option for CloudShark Enterprise CloudShark Enterprise is now available completely installed, configured, and hosted by us. This gives our customers all of the benefits of CloudShark without the need to procure or maintain their own resources. Contact us to find out more! Parallel testing option for CDRouter Earlier this year, we released our new parallel testing license option for CDRouter. Our users have tried and loved it! This option is an affordable way to get the most testing out of your automation environment when you purchase a CDRouter system - up to 5x more than before. Looking forwardOver the summer, look for future updates on our continuing support for testing with the PassPort Automated Test Solution. We’ve taken our networking expertise to the smart-home market, creating an out-of-the-box test solution for smart-home products and endpoint CPE like smartTVs, set-top-boxes, and more. |
