Researcher plants epiphytes high in the canopy of tropical trees

Tropical plant species are as threatened by climate change as widely feared, study confirms

To measure the effect of climate change on plants in the Monteverde mountain region of Costa Rica, Brown researchers physically transplanted about 1,500 plants to sites with varying temperatures and aridity and monitored the plants every three months for three years.

Dean of Faculty approval required for late proposal submission requests—starting 9/1/24

PIs in the Dean of the Faculty office and in units submitting proposals using the Research Management Support group must request late proposal submission waivers from the Dean of the Faculty's office and the Director of OSP.

Important update on Interest Bearing Grants—starting 6/30/24

Interest earned is now reflected as a credit to Ledger Account 80000 Other Expenses / Spend Category (9661) on the grant instead of a budgetary adjustment. Interest will be recorded on a recurring basis rather than annually.

A new over the cap worksheet designed to assist with costing multiple positions will be introduced to the community in the upcoming days. Stay tuned for dedicated training and open office hours!

Principal investigators, grants managers, and financial analysts can now review their award business plans (budget) in Workday. Visit the Workday Learning course: View Plan on an Award. Contact your Grant/Contract Accountant with questions.

Malign Foreign Talent Program Prohibition reminder
