Brittany Tavo

This month's PHPN member profile features Brittany Tavo.

Brittany is a Physiotherapist born and bred in our Pilbara's mining town of Hedland.

When asked if Brittany always wanted to be a Physiotherapist, she tells us "I didn't really know I wanted to do it until I was in year 10 or so, when I saw a Physiotherapist for a netball injury. After that I thought, 'I could probably do that for a living', and here I am!"

The Eclipse 2023 Festival of Events | Onslow

On 20 April 2023, in an event lasting close to three hours, the sun, the moon and the earth will align to create a total solar eclipse. Lying just outside of the path of totality, areas north of Ningaloo along the Pilbara coastline offer a partial eclipse viewing opportunity, including a deep partial eclipse at coastal areas around Onslow.

At Onslow, the Eclipse 2023 Festival of Events promises a week-long celebration, including a street party along the Onslow foreshore on the day of the eclipse. Other events include a dark sky viewing and stargazing, using large telescopes to see the glorious night skies, a concert with headliners The Waifs, family fun day and a special Fervor Dark Sky dining event with a menu focusing on locally sourced and specifically native Australian ingredients. Find out more about the Onslow Eclipse 2023 Festival of Events here.
