A big congratulations to our HDR Educator Coordinator, Dr Dani Milos for receiving the 2022 Australian Council of Graduate Research (ACGR) award for Excellence in Graduate Research Leadership. What's New?

 

PRINTING GOING GREEN(ER) AND FOLLOWS YOU!

We’re making it easier and greener than ever, for you to print at Flinders! The University will be replacing printers in all student areas with a brand new fleet of modern multifunction devices (MFDs).  More details will be coming out soon, but from July you can expect the following: 

  • Print from your own personal device – no need to be on a Flinders device to print
  • New modern fleet of multifunction devices (MFD) – faster, easier printing!
  • Follow me printing - collect your printing from any new printing device throughout the University
  • Improved sustainability - contributes to the University’s sustainability program
 

NOMINATE YOUR HDR SUPERVISOR - DEADLINE NEXT WEEK!

Nominations are now open for the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in HDR Supervision. This award recognises outstanding achievement across the various elements of supervision. HDR students who wish to nominate a supervisor are asked to submit their nomination by Friday 10 June 2022. Read more >

 

THESIS PREPARATION & LONG DOCUMENTS WORKSHOP - 28 JUNE

Do you have a messy word document and don't know how to fix it? This course will teach you how to set yourself up with a well-organised file. You will learn how to identify potential problem areas, how to lay out, using styles, importance of referencing correctly and preparing your thesis as a professional document for examination. The next course is held on Tuesday 28 June 2022, 1pm-4pm ACST, online.  Book here >

 

OPEN RESEARCH INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS - 14-16 JUNE

To support and inform the research community, Research Development and Support is running a three-day researcher training intensive course (14-16 June) which is focused on open research practices. There is a mix of online workshops, face-to-face information sessions and panel discussions, the Open Research Intensive is designed to inform and support open, rigorous and productive research at Flinders University. Read more >

 
 

3MT

There is still time to register to take part in the 3MT competition! We have some great training and development opportunities lined up for participants, so make sure you are registered to take part. Heats will be held in colleges this year, and the top three participants from each college will progress through to the semi-final. This is a great opportunity to develop your oral presentation skills and have some fun doing it.  Read more >
