A MESSAGE FROM BLACK CANVAS
  Black Canvas news

The year is flying past us! March already!! We enjoyed the 'love' month, and we've got some snap shots to share with you about the goings-on at Black Canvas.

It's not all Black and White

Peak 2 Park

It’s happening again... and it’s this weekend - Sunday 4th March. Make sure you are registered for Peak 2 Park. The fun ‘run’ (or for those like us who are a little more arty than sporty) fun ‘walk’ from Picnic Point to Lake Annand. We are very proud to again be a sponsor this year. You might just spot the Black Canvas girls there and let’s hope that we come less-last than our 2011 attempt. Hate to point fingers but we are directing all blame at the smallest Canvas boy (who admittedly) was only 3 at the time. Fun for the whole family! Register at www.peak2park.org.au

Why Black Canvas?

We have been asked a lot lately how we came to be known as Black Canvas... In our very humble opinion, we think that it is not so much your name, but the brand behind the name that makes a business sing. The brand is the way you present yourself, it is the promise you give your customer, it is in the culture and atmosphere created around the product you sell. The name-game can halt the process of starting a business, before it has even begun. What a tragedy! We tried reversing our names, clapping out syllables, combining streets and pets from our childhood. ‘Blue Meadows Design’ just doesn’t have the same ring!

We'd love to hear how your business got it's name! Post it on our Facebook wall >>

Lockyer Valley Regional Council

Being born and bred Withcott gals, we were so excited when Lockyer Valley Regional Council contacted us to help with a re-brand. If you live below the range - look out for the new Autumn newsletter in your mail-box soon. Happy clients who say nice things give us a little spring in our step and we were bouncing after receiving this email from Karina at LVRC... {below}

Happy Client

"Lockyer Valley Regional Council is happy to sing the praises of Black Canvas. The Black Canvas team recently took on a revamp of our weekly Gatton Star advert, Valley Voice, as well as the design of our new quarterly newsletter Your Valley News. Kristy, Anna and their team really do go above and beyond to ensure their client remains satisfied (and trust us, we are). They are not only friendly and a pleasure to work with, but their innovative and exciting designs are both fresh and eye-catching. Lockyer Valley Regional Council is proud to be associated with Black Canvas."

Our new best friend...

We would like you to meet our newest best friend. A very welcome member of the Black Canvas / Indigo Web team... our fancy new espresso machine. He’s good lookn’, smooth, and pumping out the brews. We are loving the coffee bean magic of Sleepless City Roasters... { available at Findo’s } - a winning (albeit a little addictive) combination. Next time you are in to visit, you’ll know it is safe to order a coffee, go on, we know you want to.

Here's where you can get those yummy beans! { Sleepless City Roasters }

Something new!

We were very excited to be involved with the design of the new imc recruitment website! Ingrid and the girls wanted an updated look for their online presence, to bring it more in-line with their friendly and people focused values. We, {and imc} are thrilled with the outcome! Check it out at www.imchr.com.au

BC Tunes...

We are a little hesitant to say what we have been listening to this month as our last playlist mention met an untimely departure and was found dead in her hotel apartment... ‘nuf said.
