Multi-Factor Authentication Released in SLIP+ for States

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) was added to SLIP+ for States to enhance application security. MFA is currently optional; however, we encourage all customers to complete the setup process, as MFA will be required in the future. Below are the steps to set up MFA for your SLIP+ for States account.

Users can select from three authentication methods to log in to SLIP+ for States:

  • Authenticator Application (Example: DUO, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password)
  • SMS (Text Message)
  • Email

A minimum of one MFA method (primary method) is required, but users have the option to set up multiple methods if desired. We recommend setting up at least two methods in case your primary method becomes inaccessible.

Users will be prompted to set up their primary method when logging in to SLIP+. The primary method can be updated or changed under Settings > Multi-Factor Authentication.

If you have any questions regarding the setup or use of MFA, please contact the SLIP+ team at info@slipplus.com.

SLIP+ for States Enhancements: Eligible Insurers by State and License Status Dates

Eligible Insurers by State
SLIP+ for States now displays only eligible insurers for the selected state when submitting a policy or transaction. If an insurer is not deemed eligible for the selected state, it will not appear in the drop-down list. Additionally, if a batch file is submitted with an ineligible insurer, the transaction will be questioned (Non-Eligible Insurer – NIN TIQ).

Please contact our Insurer Services team at Insurer.Services@slipplus.com if you have any questions or need assistance locating an insurer or clearing a questioned transaction.

License Status Dates
Status dates for all state licenses have been added to SLIP+ for States. We now track active dates for each state license associated with an agent’s SLIP+ account. If a transaction is reported with an effective date outside the associated license’s active dates, the transaction will be questioned (Non-Eligible Agent).

Please contact our SLIP+ customer service team at info@slipplus.com if you have any questions or need assistance resolving a questioned transaction.
