Workshop 1: De-mystifying AI in Manufacturing for Leaders
When: Friday 19 September, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Where: Onsite in the Factory of the Future at Swinburne’s Hawthorn Campus
What you’ll learn:
- Explore applications such as predictive maintenance, machine vision for defect detection, activity recognition for safety, process mistake-proofing, automated asset inspection, prompt engineering, and generative AI
- Understand AI’s potential, practical steps for adoption, and learn from real-world success stories
- Engage with AI demonstrators on sensors and predictive maintenance, machine vision, wearables, energy monitoring, analytical and generative AI.

Workshop 2: Digital Manufacturing: Industry 4.0 Awareness and Experience for Leaders
When: Friday 3 October, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Where: Dandenong, in person workshop
What you’ll learn:
- Understand the core concepts of Industry 4.0, engage with vision systems, IIoT, data analytics, machine learning, AR / VR, real-time location systems, wearables, and predictive maintenance
- Deepen your understanding about Industry 4.0 and its implementation
- Engage with various Industry 4.0 demonstrators on vision systems, IIoT, data analytics, machine learning, AR / VR, real-time location systems, wearables, and predictive maintenance.

Digital Jobs
Digital Jobs is a new industry development initiative from the Victorian Government that will provide 1,000 FREE places in cutting‑edge digital skills courses over the next two years to upskill Victoria’s construction and
advanced manufacturing workforce.
Eligible Victorian manufacturers can access up to 5 training vouchers for 5 different staff members each round.
There are 19 different Digital Jobs training courses available in Round 1 in the following areas:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) / machine learning
- Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM)
- Cybersecurity
- Data analytics
- Digital marketing
- Digital tools for small business management
- Emerging technologies
- Project management (agile)
Courses will be delivered by leading training providers including Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne Business School, RMIT University, Holmesglen Institute and Melbourne Polytechnic.
