We are delighted to announce that Laura Büchi and Emily Dan have been promoted to Associate. Laura has been leading a number of complex residential projects while Emily has been leading our arts and culture projects alongside new business. The promotions recognise their growth within the studio and will strengthen its management as we approach our twentieth anniversary in 2027. Congratulations, Laura and Emily!

Our practice was named 'Higher Education Architect of the Year' at Building Design Magazine's annual awards event in London earlier this month. The award is for a body of work which included our Gradel Quadrangles project for New College, Oxford, and our Hasselt Beguinage project for Hasselt University in Belgium (pictured), designed in collaboration with Bovenbouw Architectuur. We we would like to thank our clients, collaborators and contractors who shared the projects' ambitions, and are delighted for each team that this has been recognised. Photo: Luc Daelemans.

The Gradel Quadrangles at New College, Oxford, were further recognised this month, winning the 'Architectural Design Excellence Award' at the British Construction and Infrastructure Awards. This is the oldest and largest awards programme in the UK recognising excellence in the built environment. David was interviewed at the ceremony and spoke about the wider team effort. David attended a symposium at Yale University in memory of former dean Robert 'Bob' A. M. Stern. The day-long event, ‘Putting Architecture in its Place’, remembered Stern's extraordinary career as an advocate, author, architect and academic. Stern is credited with creating a pluralistic teaching programme at Yale which continues to this day. We are delighted to share that David has been invited by the current Dean, Deborah Berke to be the 2027 Robert A. M. Stern Visiting Professor in Classical Architecture.
