Welcome to ESA Connects, our newsletter where we share stories about our work to drive sustainable, resilient, and equitable solutions that shape a better world. As a 100% employee-owned firm, it’s imperative that we continually measure our actions against our mission and values. Are we taking meaningful strides towards justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in our workplace, the industry, and our communities? Are we making positive impacts to the health and longevity of the planet? Are we providing our services in a way that’s meaningful to ourselves, our clients, and our partners? If the stories are any indication, the answer is “yes.” From our work in the Environmental and Planning Diversity Internship Program creating a learning opportunity for future environmental planners, to an award-winning, multi-benefit creek restoration improving flood protection and climate change resilience, to lending a hand for Habitat to Humanity in building affordable housing— ESA is actively engaged in work across the firm that reflects our values.
