June is upon us and it’s an action-packed month. Hopefully you enjoyed the extended bank holiday weekend in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee and maybe taken part in one of the many street parties across the UK.

This month we’ll be out and about, joining in with the 1277 National Month of Prayer, getting down to a field near Swindon for CVM's The Gathering and then over to Suffolk for the EPIC Dad Conference. And as we head into summer we’re also looking forward to the Playtime Conference in September.

We are grateful to one of our South-East reps, Geoff Court, for this month’s ramble. Geoff runs a Who Let The Dads Out? group in Whitstable on the north coast of Kent, and getting outdoors with their group is a common theme that he explores in this short video.

And of course 19 June is Father’s Day. I know that for some, experiences of fatherhood have brought pain and that this can be a difficult day. However I also believe that there is much to acknowledge and celebrate about the role of fathers and father figures within family and I am grateful that this month provides an opportunity to do that.

Whatever your circumstances I hope that June proves to be the beginning of a joyous summer for all of you.

Geoff Court, Pioneer Minister and one of our South-East England reps takes a short ramble on the beach in Whitstable and explains the DNA of their Who Let The Dads Out? group.

The Gathering is back, in a field near Swindon, and we’re delighted that we’ll be there in the Mess Tent all weekend with a couple of fun challenges for you to try your hand at. Fellas, if you’re not booked in yet, then what are you waiting for!

Join us in Cardiff on Saturday 24 September for the Playtime Conference.  Playtime provides a unique opportunity to network with toddler group leaders from across the UK, to be reminded of the value of working with families and to be inspired for the future. When we actively stop to embrace each moment we share with families, we can grasp the significance of the impact we’re having. So Playtime is definitely for Who Let The Dads Out? leaders and their teams too.
