Dear Guidance Counsellor,
We are delighted to confirm that our Spring Undergraduate Open Day will take place on-campus on Saturday 25th of March, from 9am to 3pm. Registration can be found below.
We are also planning on offering a number of Open Day buses from various locations to facilitate students who want to travel on Saturday 25th March. A detailed list of bus locations and times and a registration link will be circulated shortly.
Below you will also find details about on campus accommodation bookings and scholarships.
The Schools Liaison team are also available to do in person school visits. However, if you prefer the talk can also be delivered online. The Schools Liaison team can be contacted directly to arrange a talk. Contact details at the bottom of the newsletter.

· Universities of Sanctuary
As part of our initiative, we are introducing a number of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at University of Galway which are open to International Protection Applicants, refugees, vulnerable immigrant groups, and Irish Travellers. Click here for further detail.
· Civic Engagement Scholarship
Directed at new entry undergraduate students, the scholarship is valued at €1500 per academic year for the duration of their degree programme and is open to all. Click here for further detail.
Accommodation
Applications for accommodation for the academic year 2023/24 at Corrib Village, Goldcrest Village and Dunlin Village (University of Galway’s campus residences) open on Monday, 20 February 2023 and will remain open until Friday, 10 March 2023.
Applications open online for three weeks. You can make an application at any stage within the three-week period. We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. So, applying as soon as applications open does not increase your chance of being offered accommodation.
