Welcome to the March newsletter
Dear
March was kicked off in style with us hosting our 2025 Writers' Festival at our Horsforth campus. This was an extra special occasion as it marked the 20th anniversary of this prestigious event.
The Festival was expertly introduced by Professor of Creative Writing Oz Hardwick, and we were so proud that nearly all the breakout session hosts were Leeds Trinity alumni. See event images and performances.
2025 also marks the centenary of Virginia Woolf's novel Mrs Dalloway. To mark this, we have a call for poetry submissions inspired by Woolf's life, work and afterlives in stage, film and television presentations. Find out more.

We were delighted to welcome back Elian Beaumont for the Writers' Festival.
It proved to be a busy day for Elian as he was in York later the same evening, scooping two prestigious RTS Yorkshire Student Awards. He collected two special Craft Awards for Cinematography and Editing for his films Find Me and Belonging.
This follows his success at last year’s RTS Yorkshire Student Awards and The Graddies Student Film Awards. Read more.
You can now watch Elian's latest film release Seen

Featured alumni – Libby Maguire
Recently we caught up with 2024 Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation graduate Libby Maguire. Libby currently manages every facet of player rehabilitation and medical care at Worksop Town FC, a Northern Premier League (Step 3) team, as the Head of Medical.
Despite only graduating last year, Libby has her own company, of which she is very proud. She says: "Starting my own company, Worksop Health Hub by Libby Maguire, in collaboration with the football team, is one of my greatest accomplishments".
Being the cheerleading captain at Leeds Trinity for two years was one of Libby's favourite memories. She recalls: "Leading a team and applying what I learned on the course to create the cheerleading squad's performance and training standards was an incredible experience."
